Exeter Quay and all that jazz

The ever-popular Jazz on the Quay live music sessions are back in Exeter this weekend.

Organised by the Exeter Canal & Quay Trust and Exeter City Council, Jazz on the Quay is a series of free, fun-filled Sunday afternoons filled with live music.

The first session will be held on Sunday 30 June, from 12.30pm to 3.30pm, at the Transit Shed, situated beside Exeter’s stunning Custom House on the historic Quayside, featuring the Riviera Ramblers.

A variety of talented jazz bands perform, including the Riviera Ramblers, Borderline Jazz Band, La Vie en Rose and Wriggle Valley Jazz Band.

The full line up for the summer is:

30 June – Riviera Ramblers

7 July – Hothouse Combo

14 July – La Vie en Rose Gypsy Jazz

21 July – Hothouse Combo

4 August – Borderline Jazz Band

11 August – Wriggle Valley Jazz Band

18 August – Borderline Jazz Band

25 August – Riviera Ramblers

Everyone is invited to celebrate the sounds of summer and join in on the free festivities.

No tickets are required, just bring friends, family and a love for jazz – it is the perfect way to spend a summer Sunday.
