SUMMARY:Lana Labs Exeter Open Day: Biochar\, Goulash & the Future of Exchange
DESCRIPTION:Lana Labs Exeter Open Day is a full-day community gathering at Gray’s Barn\, Goffin Land\, just outside Exeter. \nThe day brings together regeneration\, practical invention\, local food\, community connection\, music\, dance and an introduction to Lana — a growing culture of conscious participation and better everyday exchange. \nThe morning begins in the community garden with a live biochar workshop and demonstration by Indrek\, who has spent the last four years developing his biochar-making machine. Biochar can support soil health\, fertility\, growing\, carbon storage and local resilience. This practical demonstration will show how simple invention can support land\, people and a more regenerative future. \nAt lunchtime\, traditional Hungarian goulash will be served in Gray’s Barn. The goulash is made with beef purchased through Lana from a Lana-aligned regenerative farmer. This meal is part of the story of the day: real food\, real exchange\, local relationships and community around the table. \nIn the afternoon\, the event continues upstairs in Gray’s Barn with a relaxed Lana gathering. This session is open to Lana members and complete newcomers. It will introduce what Lana is\, how people can join\, how suppliers and customers can participate\, and how Lana Labs Exeter is developing as a local place for conscious exchange\, sustainability\, community and future-focused ideas. \nLana invites a new relationship with value — one where everyday exchange can support local people\, good work\, regenerative choices and community connection. \nThe day finishes with music\, dance\, cakes and friendly connection from 6pm until 10pm. \nSchedule: \n9:00am – Arrival and welcome\n9:30am – 1:00pm – Biochar workshop in the community garden\n1:30pm – Hungarian goulash lunch\n2:30pm – 6:00pm – Lana gathering upstairs\n6:00pm – 10:00pm – Music\, dance and cakes \nPrices: \nWhole Day Event: £30\, food not included\nBiochar Workshop only: £20\nLana Event only: £20\nHungarian Goulash: £10 \nTea and refreshments will be available throughout the day. \nCamping before and after the event day is possible by arrangement. \nLana members\, friends\, local people and curious newcomers are all welcome. \nAdvance booking is recommended. \nBook here:\nhttps://lanalovesexeter.com/events
