The Theif’s Tale

24 November @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

£9 – £11

THE THIEF’S TALE and others

Let the wool pulling, boat rocking and luck pushing commence! Come and shake a fist at the injustice of things…

The thief Conall Crovi was once a hero of the people, but he has left behind his thieving ways for a life of domestic obscurity…until three hapless young lads come to his door and he reluctantly agrees to One Last Job, with predictably disastrous results. One part epic adventure, two parts anxiety dream, this thrilling Celtic tale is brimming with monsters, madness and gruesome humour. If you like your stories dark and twisty, THE THIEF’S TALE is for you.

DANIEL MORDEN is one of the UK’s favourite storytellers. He has travelled the world performing traditional stories, from the Arctic to the Pacific to the Caribbean. He is the author of many award-winning anthologies of traditional stories, and is well known as the storyteller with THE DEVIL’S VIOLIN. In 2017 he was awarded the Hay Festival Medal.

‘To experience Daniel Morden in full flight is an amazing thing. He combines the skills of the Troubadour, the actor, the bard, the standup comedian and the preacher in the pulpit. One of the UK’s greatest storytellers.’

IAN MACMILLAN, RADIO 3
